Inside the Toolkit, We'll Cover...
Introduction
In the Introduction we start out the discussion of Time Management by explaining how all tips and techniques we'll be discussing hinge on your ability to set goals and follow through with them- even if they're small. Building habits and routines is key when it comes to trying to change your life.
Section 1
In Section 1 we discuss how setting priorities influences the choices we make each day, and how to ensure you're spending your time each day on the things that really matter.
Section 2
How you're currently spending your time can be a big indicator of what's working in your life, and what isn't. In Section 2, we'll work on recording where your time is going (and addressing where you want it to go).
Section 3
Section 3 will introduce you to a tool you can use when you're feeling stuck- you'll celebrate your strengths, address your weakness, examine your opportunities and make a plan to work through your threats. We'll also discuss how these four areas of your life influence (and can improve) where your time goes each day.
Section 4
Section 4 teaches you how to break big tasks and projects into smaller, more manageable steps (which reduces stress and overwhelm, greatly increasing your likelihood of actually getting it done.)
Section 5
How productive are you in a messy space? In Section 5 we'll discuss how to prepare both your physical and digital your space to help you get the most done.
Section 6
We all do it. Human beings are prone to procrastination. Section 6 gives you some ideas to address your procrastination habit and to kick-start yourself back into gear once you've gotten off track (while giving yourself lots of grace and forgiveness along the way.) This section is a must-read for anyone struggling with procrastination.
Section 7
In Section 7 we'll discuss the common (but very frustrating!) feeling we all get that makes us not want to do the things in front of us, and how to get moving when we feel stuck & low on energy (or just "don't wanna!") We'll discuss how motivation plays an important role in how much we can get done, and some things you can do to try and boost your motivation when you're just not
feeling your best.
Section 8
Section 8 addresses our tendency to get off-track, the most common temptations so many of us face, as well as some simple ways we can work on resisting these distractions so we can start making progress on the things most important to us. You'll survey how you tend to get distracted and learn lots of ways you can work to make (and keep!) your environment distraction-free (or at least less!)
Section 9
Productivity is not all practical- there's are big physical and mental elements that go into it too! In Section 9 we'll discuss the tie between how you feel (both physically and emotionally) and how much you can get done- hint: it matters way more than you think!
Conclusion
The last section is where we pull it all together- we'll summarize the areas we previously discussed and create a plan to improve ourselves for the better moving forward. You'll complete a detailed "Personal Summary Reflection" where you'll have a chance to work through and apply in detail all the concepts you've learned in the sections previous to it. You'll come away with a several positive goals to focus your energies on (as well as plans to make them happen!)
